ADVANCE: Faculty Development Programs

The ADVANCE Program: A New Faculty Development Series

What is ADVANCE?

The ADVANCE Program was developed to maintain a high standard of faculty development, career growth and best practices in medical education. The new Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine encourages all physician and biomedical sciences faculty to join the ADVANCE program.

ADVANCE was funded by the OUWB School of Medicine as a faculty development society in which faculty members participate on a regular basis to foster knowledge and learn about medical education teaching skills, technology, scholarship and research excellence. Research and scholarly activity in faculty development will be covered in a broad range of activity formats to renew and assist faculty members in their multiple roles.

ADVANCE will include programs to enhance teaching and education, student learning and new medical education technology in medical schools.

This series is approved for AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™.
