2012 - 2013 Policies, Responsibilities and Curriculum (PDF)
Beaumont has a longstanding history of excellence in cardiovascular research, teaching, education and patient care. The Department of Cardiovascular Medicine has been named among the top cardiovascular centers in the nation by U.S. News & World Report for several years. Our teaching faculty is selected on the basis of a strong commitment to teaching and education, and a track record of accomplishment in medical education. In addition to training residents and fellows, our teaching faculty will have an active role in educating medical students in the Oakland University William Beaumont Hospital School of Medicine.
Our cardiology fellowship is a three-year, twelve-fellow program accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME). Advanced training is offered in Interventional Cardiology and Electrophysiology, and new programs in Cardiovascular Imaging and Congestive Heart Failure will be implemented soon. Four positions are offered each year through the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP).
