CME credits can be used to meet the Continuing Education requirements needed for Michigan Nursing relicensure without limitation.
Statement of Need
This is the first and only planned meeting dedicated to the underactive bladder and the conference will create awareness for the aging UAB. The conference will dramatically increase public awareness and translate research results into clinical care that will improve health outcomes in older adults.
This activity is designed for physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses, PhD researchers, Urologists, and Geriatricians.
CURE-UAB will be accepting abstracts for posters to be displayed during the conference. The deadline for Poster submissions is December 20, 2013, and each submission must include the following: (1) Title: A concise title appropriate to the abstract and the poster; (2) Authors: A list of authors and affiliations—at least one of the authors must be planning to attend the meeting and stand by the poster during the presentation period; and (3) Abstract: A one-page abstract that describes the poster. A notice of acceptance of the poster will be sent by January 3, 2014. If selected, an electronic copy of the poster must be submitted by February 7, 2014 for review.

CURE-UAB is committed to advancing research and education on Underactive Bladder as such; the program is offering eighteen (18) $900 scholarships to defray the cost of travel to CURE-UAB for eligible individuals. Ten (10) of the scholarships will be awarded to women, minorities and persons with disabilities, and eight (8) of the scholarships will be awarded to junior investigators (graduate students, medical students and postdoctoral fellows). In addition to the $900 travel scholarship, the registration fee will be waived for each scholarship recipient. The deadline for applications is December 20, 2013.
